I really enjoy reading books that detail people’s journeys with God so I think I might give this one a read. I also appreciate that the author is respectful of people of other religions, and that they don’t make those who are non-religious feel excluded.

I've never read religion centric books before, and this seems like a great place to start. But I would rather not have that Skelton as the cover though.

And how the author has written this to be apt for people of all the diverse religions there are as well as atheists is truly remarkable.

Losing an arm must be an awful, traumatic event and I can perfectly understand that the author turns to God for answers.

This is an interesting non-fiction book highlighting faith, impairment, a journey, life lessons, and accepting God`s plan for us all. The book is free on Kindle Unlimited and has a well-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD selection.

I'm not religious so stories about people experience with god are not of interest to me so I don't believe this is a book I'd enjoy. However it seems like a good one for those that do.

It does sound like this author was able to effectively take an all-inclusive approach. Connecting with readers of various faiths and belief systems can be tricky when discussing divine guidance and intervention. Severed limbs and a drug-use tendency would be hard hurdles to tackle alone. Thank you for your review of this one.

Thank you for the great review! The loss of an arm would change anyone's life forever and possibly even for the better. My hope is that this book will help others to find God and recover from or accept any trauma they may have experienced, physical and otherwise. Trauma does not have to lead to depression or withdrawal from life, but it can make you stronger and lead to a more joyful and full existence. I also like that Mr. Lisi is not trying to push religion or faith onto the reader, but he is simply describing his own experience. I'm looking forward to reading this one.

Thanks for the honest and thorough review. This sounds like a very different take on a religious centered book. I may take a deeper look into it. Being able to relate stories based on Christianity but not alienate people of other religions is quite a feat.

Although I'm not into enlightening autobiographies, I think the author's spiritual journey could be an interesting read for those who prefer this genre. I can only imagine how hard it must have been to lose one arm and struggle to find meaning in life once again. Thanks for your review!

This book sounds a bit gruesome and intriguing at the same time, but I don't know if I would read it.
