[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "God First" by Andrew B Cummins.] [rwc=id419506-125]3 out of 4 stars.[/rwc]God First by Andrew B Cummins is a non-fiction book about important Christian principles. The author explains that in every situation of someone’s life God must be the priority. The writer analyses some verses from the Bible, offering his interpretation and his opinions. He uses a simple and casual style to inform the reader about Christianity and God.

The author begins by explaining that a person is truly content when he/she puts God first and obeys His commands. Additionally, he explains that submitting to God’s will gives a person true happiness, joy, and peace. He moves on by writing a prayer and discusses that desiring and coveting for unnecessary things. Furthermore, the author describes the importance of following God and going on a life journey with Him to find peace and love. To add to this, he explains that while following God a person should continuously move forward beyond any mistakes, losses, or failures that have occurred in the past. He also explores the meaning of following God’s light through the Holy Spirit, thereby staying faithful to God’s Word. The writer also discusses that following Jesus Christ includes suffering and staying faithful to Him has a cost.

There were many beautiful elements in the text. To be more precise, I found the structure of the book exceptional, as it followed a logical, rational, and coherent flow, helping the reader to comprehend the author’s thoughts about Christianity and God. Moreover, the language utilized by the writer was simple, which allowed all kinds of readers to comprehend his opinions. What I liked most about this book was that it contained many inspirational, motivating Biblical verses, while the author also supplied the reader with some beautiful, meaningful, short prayers.

What I disliked most in the text was that I encountered many mistakes throughout it, so the book has been unprofessionally edited. Since this book is very short, another round of professional editing can fix this issue.

This book is best suited for Christian readers interested in growing in their faith. Readers who feel depressed, disheartened, and demotivated will appreciate the author’s inspiring words related to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Christian will prefer this book because it contains Biblical verses.

All in all, I rate this book with 3 out of 4 stars. I could not deduct more stars because this inspiring book was excellently structured and expertly compiled. I did not give it a perfect score due to its grammatical errors. ****** God First View: on Bookshelves | on Amazon
