Review by ARaeNew -- The Four Hats by Drake E. Taylor
"The Four Hats" written by Drake E Taylor was a quick read keeping my interest and getting straight to the point of how to be a productive and efficient leader. I rate “The Four Hats” four out of four stars. This book was extremely well edited and an easy read. The simplified and direct format leads the second time through reader straight to specific leadership qualities they may need more work on for quick reference. Drake Taylor uses his military experiences during which he was both lead and a leader for the background knowledge from which he was able to write. Through this book Taylor is able to summarize effective leadership qualities into what he calls the four hats of leadership. I wish I could have read this book 20 years ago when I first started out. The employees working under me would have been more productive and satisfied with me at the helm. Taylor graciously points out areas of leadership I’ve been lacking in and then makes a case as to why these areas deserve more attention. Anyone in a leadership role from a church youth group leader to a business CEO should consider "The Four Hats" an essential read.
