The author did a good job in providing the practical experiences she had throughout her career. Reading about real people's experiences was riveting and quite a learning experience. Congrats on BOTD!

Preparedness and optimism can only take us so far, and things like love and luck are statistically unreliable at best. I look forward to reading this clinical psychologist’s perspectives on life. Thanks for your review!

The fact that the author discusses love, narcissism, and luck has piqued my interest. I am interested in exploring his take on them, especially luck. I look forward to reading the book and thank you for the review.

I think it would be amazing to get a psychologist's view of how our emotions impact our attitudes and behaviour from this book.

I don't know that I agree with all of the author's opinions, but I can certainly see how she came to believe them. I don't do self-help books, but it might be of interest to others with a philosophical leaning toward life. Thanks for the insightful review!

This book touches so many important topics that would leave a positive impact on readers especially how to relate with others despite their culture and religion.

This is such an interesting read. Love, life outcomes and emotional health are topics I love. I would definitely desire to add this book to my shelf because it's a self-help one.

I love this book, honestly. Being an adult has taught me to always hope for the best and expect the worst. Life comes with so many unexpected incidents, that scatters our plans - for better or worse. I am glad to figure that Geraldine took time to explore this experience in his book. It's a good one

All the topics sound deep and meaningful. I love that in addressing how things don't go as planned, the author chooses to use relatable examples. Great review
