Certainly we can learn a lot from 50 years of a psychiatrist's experience. Congrats on Book of the Day.

Basically changes in our lives can cause us to perceive things in a negative manner. This negative perception or inability to cope is linked to various emotional states which impact our health, behaviour and attitude. In other words, our perception of reality is responsible for the life we live. According to the author, no amount of positive thinking would change our perception. The only thing it seems, which can change our lives, is how we view the changes or challenges we encounter.

This sounds very nice to experience a variety of topics such as love and sundry. I'm glad that the author had a personal experience of these things than they being merely theoretical. Congratulations on your BOTD!

Interesting insights on common topics like love and optimism seem to be the highlight of this book. However, since discussions on these topics are not my cup of tea, I will be passing on this book. Thanks for the great review!

It's so me! I can totally related on what the author feels.. Dream only can be achieved when we go all out for it, if not - dream just merely a dream

It is true that life occasionally, or even frequently, presents unexpected challenges. It will be good to read and learn about the author's insights on the same. The topics sound captivating, and I am glad a summary was included at the end of every chapter. Thanks for the review.

I'm not much of a fan of non-fiction books. But this book seems talking about emotions sounds interesting. We tend to forget how crazy life can be sometimes. Congrats on BOTD!!

This seems like a very well-organised book. I like the essay format because it’s appropriate for the topics covered. Not only that, but the inclusion of summaries is welcome for it would help me compare and contrast the author’s messages. It must, though, have been a nightmare to review in terms of difficulty.
