The Return Of The Good Samaritan, by Patrick McManus

Post by Robert Zastrow »

Just finished reading the book by McManus, which I enjoyed very much. McManus was a humorist, who specialized in "outdoor" humor, that is, funny things which can happen to people when doing outdoor sporting activities, such as fishing or hunting. His writing reminds me most of another outdoor humorist by the name of Corey Ford. The main difference between the two, in my opinion, is that McManus writes mostly in a first-person narrative, making it harder to tell by the reader if what he's writing is pure fiction or just McManus's humorous take on things which have actually happened to him.
