Re: Things Fall Apart (and The Metamorphosis)
I have read the Metamorphosis and found it very sad; they abandoned him when he needed them most.

Things fall apart is the most illuminating and stable monument we have to the modern African experiences, it is modulated by an awareness capable of encompassing at once the life of nature.

I will check out The Metamorphosis and if it speaks to me, i will add it to my reading list.ea_anthony wrote: ↑28 Jul 2018, 15:18 I last read Things fall Apart some 30 years ago in my early teens. There was a 13 part TV series in the late eighties in Nigeria which was very huge then. I just started it again and no without doubt I am in for a good read, the first few pages have not disappointed.

It also explains the importance of paying attention to cultural differences and appreciating it.
It has themes of love
Guilt or Regret and many more.
It's enjoyable.

Grief is just love with no place to go.
