I will always prefer To Kill a Mockingbird. I was first introduced to it in Literature class. Every time I read it I want to start all over again immediately. I have read it so many times I know it by heart.
Maybe because Scout is all grown up, Go Set a Watchman lacks the innocence and charm that TKAM had. I remember reading Jem died of the same affliction as his mother, heart problems I think...can't remember if it was in the novel or somewhere else.

To Kill a Mockingbird is my all time favourite book so I couldn’t wait for Go Set a Watchman to be released. I was bitterly disappointed. The characters I had fallen in love with were at times, hateful and I found myself struggling to turn the page because I didn’t want to know what they were going to say next.

To Kill a Mockingbird is the better book, hands down. It's a brilliant, tightly woven story, which presents the lessons on how people perceive each other in a subtle way. Atticus is a hero in many ways, which Scout sees first hand.

there is no question that To Kill a Mockingbird is the essential american fiction, and thus even Harper Lee couldn't outdo it!

Definitely To Kill A Mockingbird. It's a timeless classic that never gets old. The characterisation in particular is superb.

Most critics regard 'Go Set A Watchman' as a first draft or dry run for 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. It was unlikely, therefore, ever to live up to Harper Lee's most famous work. There was also some arguments over whether or not the author would ever have consented to its publication had she not been old and frail.

To Kill A Mockingbird is a masterpiece, and one of the best books I read in high school. I did not care for Go Set a Watchman.

I really liked To Kill A Mockingbird. It remains the ultimate classic for me and I don't think the sequel, despite having being written by the same author about the same characters, could dissuade me for that. I read TKAM when I was a little younger and I absolutely hated it (because I had to read it for class and found it 'boring') but I read it again a little later (for class again) and I loved it.

How can you compare to kill a mocking bird with any book let alone this particular book. To kill a mocking bird was carefully and well written.

I haven't read "Go Set A Watchman" so I can't judge it's quality. But, I am a great fan of "To Kill A Mockingbird". It is a masterpiece and one of best novels that I've ever read.

I would easily choose to kill a mockingbird. Go set a watchman shouldn't be considered a classic.
