This book is a marvelous read. It's written in such a way that you can feel for the horses in everything they go through. I've had a great respect for them ever since reading it.

I've tried reading this book a couple times but it just never really got my attention. The movie was alright though.

I love this book. I think it’s brilliant for children and adults alike. Fantastic story and a good reminder that we were put on this earth to look after the animals.

Reading the black beauty was too exquisite.. When i came across the abridged version, i couldn't wait to get the full version. I just kept reasoning as i was reading thinking of how I lived my life when i was very young.. My younger sister just took the book with her today.

I love Black Beauty with all of my heart and have read the novel many times over. It is one of the few books which captures a story literally from the mouth of a horse and I think everyone horse lover or not should read it.

I love Black Beauty still to this day and have reread it every couple years since I was a child. I find there are so many different layers to the storyline that it is one that you can go back again and again and discover new aspects you did not notice previously. Even though the main character is about a horse it’s still so deeply relateable that it enables people to connect with the novel, whilst also creating a realistic conveyance of hope and despair that highlights our differences and creates suspense.

As a kid I remember my mom tried to get me to read more classic books. Black Beauty was one of them and I absolutely hated it. With all of these comments, it's really inspired me to give it a second go. I love unique points of view told in a story, which gives me hope that I will enjoy it this time around!
