Little Women by Louisa May Alcott a super popular book about four sisters. Jo who loves to read much like myself, Meg the older sister who marries a tutor, Amy the artist, and Beth who loves music. A unforgettable story of the 1900’s in New England.
I recommend this book for teenagers and adults.
I really enjoyed this book and the morals of life it presented. This book reminded me that there are good people left in this world. It also made me think about and appreciate where we have come from. Many of my friends say they read this when they were growing up and I do not ever recall reading this. I am guessing that is a good thing as an adult I can appreciate this book more. I do not think it would have had that effect if I had read this when I was younger. I loved how straight forward this book was. Nothing hiding beneath the surface. For sure a classic and I recommend that you take time reading this and enjoy it, and maybe take time to think about how God wants us to live our life and glorify him in everything.
I just recently started watching Friends for the first time. There is still an episode that makes me smile about little women. I think I talked about it one of my other reviews so obviously it was one of my favorite episodes. Anyways, Joey is reading the book The Shining and gets so scared of the book he sticks it in the freezer. Which Rachel finds in the freezer and starts picking on Joey and they begin a debate on their favorite books hers being Little Women. They agree to swap books and eventually because of certain events in this book I wont spoil he sticks it in the freezer as well. There are so many events in this book they discuss that I found hilarious. This is a very moving book no matter what gender you are. The friends episode proved that for me. It also reminded me of how much I would love to be in a book club with people in person not on the internet. To be able to go to a public library and touch and smell and feel real live books. Can you tell I am a little home sick today for the USA?
I rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars.
