I love Steinbeck. His stories aren't the most cheeful, but they are so well written and vivid! I hate the events in it, but The Red Pony has always been my favorite.

I did not enjoy The Grapes of Wrath at all, and I am not a huge fan of Of Mice and Men. I do, however, love The Pearl. It is short and powerful, beautifully written, with really poignant messages. This was one of my favorite Steinbeck pieces to teach as well (I used to teach high school English).

I cut my reading teeth on Steinbeck many moons ago, I have read all writings. One memorable one me was "Grapes Of Wrath", I have viewed many of his books that have been made into wonderful movies, a favorite for me was "East Of Eden".

I’ve only read The Pearl and Of Mice and Men from his books, but both were really captivating! I’ll definitely pick up more written by him.

The Pearl was a popular one with students in high school. I used to read my literature books in advance, but when we had to read The Pearl, others were reading it before too! I started Grapes but I wasn't at a stage to enjoy it. When I read it properly this time, I'm sure I'll appreciate it better.

I read 'The Pearl' in my final year of school as my optional extra book. I absolutely loved it! I thought it was really interesting and well-written. Would recommend, especially as it's one of the less well known ones.

I read The Red Pony when I was young and expected it to be like My Friend Flicka and so was kind of disappointed. Of Mice and Men was better I thought. I read East of Eden and liked it quite a bit, although that was years ago as was The Grapes of Wrath and The Pearl and Cannery Row. My favorite Steinbeck was actually Travels With Charley. I spent so much time in his stories and it was very cool to get a different view of the actual writer.

I read most of Steinbeck’s books early in my life. I read The Pearl,Grapes Of Wrath, and Of Mice and Men. I loved everything of them! Steinbeck is an insightful writer and understands the human condition where it concerns underprivileged people! I recommend his books to anyone who has an interest in people who are disadvantaged!

Of Mice and Men of Steinbeck is a very interesting story. It is about two migrant workers who migrate from place to place finding an opportunity to work.

I read Of Mice and Men while still in highschool and I loved it. I had come across the book at the dumpster. I have also read The Pearl and I love it though its an edited version. I would love to read the original version.
