I also didn't like Wuthering Heights. I read it when I was young and I don't even remember what it was about now, but I do remember that I considered it boring.

I really liked the mystery of the pantomime cat by Enid Byton because the story was simply captivating.

I tried reading To kill a mocking bird a couple of times. I just didn't understand the message it was passing

As everyone took a liking to the book I just couldn’t even finishes it. First reasoning was the characters being introduced being moved to a side and not being there to support the role of the main character, just existing to make a mass. The informal language was too much and the repetition- I can confidentially say that it was the most boring book I have ever read. And please keep in mind it’s only my opinion. Now the book which same must have guessed or may not is ‘The catcher in the Rye’

I had to read Wuthering Heights for school and I did not enjoy one second of it. The characters were interesting at times, but still, they were insufferable. Maybe I didn't understand the book, but after reading it, I felt like I had lost a lot of precious time.

I love Virginia Woolf but sometimes her writing gets too tiring.

I have to say that reading For Whom the Bell Tolls was a hard drudge for me. I kept reading it because it's a classic and yes I did understand the characters but it was repetitive and almost factual rather than a novel.

I have never been a fan of Charles Dickens. I find most tales dreary and boring with cruel characters. I was assigned "Great Expectations" in junior high and was simply bored to tears. I couldn't finish it. The only Dickens I will give a pass to is "A Christmas Carol." Probably due to all the parodies that have been done of that particular work.

I could not stand "A Brave New World" or "The Handmaid's Tale". Both offered scenarios, concepts and ideas, and dystopias that conflicted with my morals and personal beliefs, especially in the relationships department. I could not relate well with these stories, which made them very hard to read. I've had to read both for multiple classes through my years in college. I still detest them to this day!

Anything by Shakespeare! I never liked his books when I had to read them in high school and never embraced him as an adult.

I would say to kill a mockingbird. The hype was too much and when I read it I was disappointed.

She stoops to conquer is a book I couldn't finish not because it was boring, but I had to go back to the glossary always. It was stressful.

The Picture of Dorian Gray. For some people it is a classic book, for others it is not. The first time I read it, I thought it was an interesting book. But then I saw the reactions of the people, like wanting to do evil looking always young. That made me understand that he was not giving a good message. That's why it's not worth paying much attention to.

My least favourite classic is The Time Machine by H.G.Wells. I know a lot of people think that it is great but I felt that it was a very dull book. The characters were not very well developed and the descriptions lacked depth. It left me feeling very flat after reading it. I was determined to finish it just so that I could tick it off my list of classics, but I found it hard going.
