To be honest, I don't think this is for us to decide. But I'm glad he did well enough as a diplomat, who knows, he might have been carried away if he stayed in the sciences. He might have not been as fulfilled as he was.

Yes. Virology is an interesting field, I feel of he stuck to it, he would have done a lot. But it's also good the path he took, he changed lives at a larger scale. He had a powerful role.
I'm here for a good time, not a long time. Yolo!

Nope... I hundred percent think that his role as a diplomat was well suited and the best role he could take on to achieve things.

I think one will do best in his or her passion. So I can't say for sure which one Dr. Berrah will do well. I still think that his scientific part would be better since the risk involved is minimal.

Both professions, in my opinion, are important. A professor who resigns from research and academia, on the other hand, is clearly interested in politics. We need people with his type of innovative mind in such positions, so I can't say he would have done the world any better if he had stayed in his old job.

I think this is a question only he can answer. What matters is that he made a positive impact in the world.

Inasmuch as he was a beat brain in science. I still think his calling was Diplomacy and he will always do better there.

Both fields were accomplished by the author. Therefore, in my opinion, he has improved this globe.

He wanted to achieve a peaceful environment which is worth emulating. He did well as a scientist for the short period time he ventures into it. But the diplomat suits him more.

Raluca_Mihaila wrote: 08 Feb 2021, 15:56 I think that the matter of accomplishment is a subjective one. If Dr. Berrah felt like his calling was diplomacy instead of the scientific world, that maybe his opinion about being successful matters more than ours. Nevertheless, it is hard to decide "the success" of diplomacy because it is a long term goal, not easily quantifiable. So I think it is not for us to draw a conclusion in this matter. Also, it is impossible to do so.
This is my point of view too. Besides, it is very difficult to compare possible and hypothetical successes of the same man. Comparing medicine and diplomacy is difficult too. It's like comparing apples to tangerines.

I believe that achievement is a personal thing. Others may believe that his efforts to achieve world peace had a significant impact on them, thereby assisting them in finding peace, but I believe that he would have done less as a scientist.

I do not think he would have left an impact as big as he did in his diplomatic roles. A whole lot of countries remember him because he directly impacted their leadership and politics.

I can’t say. Achievements are based on the efforts one puts carrying out his goals. I feel he would have done more as a scientist because that’s what he studied in school.
