"Almost Mortal" by Christopher Leibig is a story in which a priest had to decide between reporting the person and adhering to the clergy pertinent privilege. The plot revolves around a criminal defense attorney in Bennet County, Virginia. It seems like story lacks suspense and comes out with bizarre ending, but it is nicely written, which is a plus point.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

This sounds like a really interesting book. I love a crime thriller! Thank you for such an insightful review. I enjoy a book that explores the story of the characters. I am now so curious who X is and the ending. :shifty:

This review was very detailed and did a great job of praising the good and outlining the bad. I’m on the fence about reading it. The review gave it 3 stars but the average is 2 stars. And you said that the ending wasn’t as expected. There’s nothing worse than getting to the end and feeling like the story was pointless.

A legal thriller with romantic angles and fallen angels, well I have never before read such a book that is a mix of so many categories but these days I am all into new genres and the book does sound interesting, to be honest. Let's find how this one is.

Congratulations on the BOTD! :D

"Almost Mortal" by Christopher Leibig seems to align with the psychic power of the protagonist. A public defender, who has psychic power, and solves murder cases. His life seems interesting to me. I wonder how the two different stories in the book later connected though?

This seems very interesting. I've only read maybe a couple of crime/mystery because it's not really my cup of tea. However, I may very well give this book a chance! I mean, I do enjoy a good twist! Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the review. It sounds intriguing. I understand the drama surrounding serial killers but wish I didn't have to read about them. I'm erring on the side of reading this book.

This book sounds like a mystery winner. Lately there has been a great deal of scandal about Priests but I think I will enjoy reading a mystery about a corrupt priest, serial killers and a man struggling with his faith. Congrats on BOTD

I am not a crime mystery fan but i love a well executed book. Well developed protagonist is another plus point. I would love to give it a try.
