You describe a vivid portrayal of the infiltration of illicit drugs and crime into young people's lives and schools. The integration of Navajo culture sounds like an interesting thread.

The author does an excellent job of describing the drug situation in schools. It was a fiction novel but I also found it to be very informative of current events. Hope you will read it.
