This sounds really intriguing to me. I like dark themes as long as the characters are relatable and sounds like these are. The lack of structure to the stories might have been frustrating for me. Thanks for the great review.

This sounds very interesting. I'm not usually into short stories, but I might have to give this one a try. Thanks for your comprehensive review.
Give me the courage to get through this week...or at least a big bar of chocolate :D

Sounds like you would have my exact sentiments on this one!
Thanks for commenting! I actually only saw your comment now (my brain has obviously not been functioning too well :))

I'm also not a huge fan of short stories - but I thought this one seemed a little irregular. And it definitely was!
Thanks for stopping by :)

I love appreciating a good work when I see one. I'd have loved to read this piece but I'm way too emotional for this. Good work.

While it seems like an interesting book, I do not like reading short stories. I like stories that have more time to develop characters so you have time to get attached to them. Thanks for your review, sadly this is not my type of book that i would enjoy.

by the look of things i guess this book will fit me right well. I love books that tend to dwell into the inner workings of man. Books with not only happy content but 'depressing' ones as well. This book is definitely for me. Thanks for the review

These mini fables are often less quenchiess to our thirst of a happy ending. Hats off to those authors who create these thought provoking mini fictions.

I don't think you would enjoy this if you are too emotional :) Happy endings are more your style, I'm sure!

I agree with books where you can get to know the characters really well, and become invested. Short stories are a different breed.
Thanks for the comments :)

I know - books that show all sides of a story are always swept away. This one shows the dark side too, which I really enjoyed! And if you do decide to read it, I hope you enjoy it too :)

I like the fact that this book contains an assortment of stories ,i might enjoy some of the dark ones and in my opinion the lack of definite closure is the trick.I'll add this one to my bookshelf. Thanks Bianca for such an insightful review.

The lack of closure is definitely something to consider before reading!
