Concealment by Rose Edmunds is the first book of Crazy Amy Thriller series. The book is an enthralling psychological thriller that also provides the reader with some information about the business world. It is composed of forty-seven chapters, an epilogue, a word from the author, and a glimpse of what will Amy do next. The story could attract and hold the interest of anyone because of its many twists and turns. This thriller integrates personal character elements into mystery and suspense, essentially touching the line between a dramatic character study and the sort of plot structure that could be expected from a crime-thriller book.

The story revolves around Amy who is a successful woman and seems to have all the things in life. The business and finance world make her an exceptional person. Everything is doing well but later on things change when her junior colleague is murdered. Amy’s thoughts were full of confusions and doubts, and she has irrational and persistent feeling towards the people that she thinks who are involved in the murder. The more she looks for an answer, the worse the situation becomes. What are the challenges that she will meet? How will she recognize and accept the reality? Will she be able to solve the murder mystery?

The book is well written and is accordingly presented. It is also professionally formatted and edited. The mode of storytelling is a first-person narrative; the narrator relays the events from his point of view. The character could truly influence the reader’s thought about the story. Amy portrays a strong-willed woman with humor and sarcasm which bring life to the plot.

I like how the author successfully writes a book with a female lead character with an aberrant personality. Rose Edmunds could truly inspire the readers of this book, because of its strong ethical theme. She made Amy’s inner thoughts endlessly entertaining hilarious insults. Even though the character is straightforward and outspoken, Amy is a brilliant protagonist that boosts up the turn of events.

I rated Concealment 4 out of 4 stars because every chapter is captivating to read. I love how the main character’s conflict comes in the form of altering her perspective or discovering some buried truths about herself. I highly recommend it to those readers who love psychological thriller and murder mystery books. If you will read this book take time to dig in and find out because this story could offer a lot and can hold you captive until the very last page.
