I am not interested in crime thriller. Though it is an intriguing story , it lacks character development. Good review.

Thank you for your honest and entertaining review, especially since the sample of the book had nothing to do with its title. Despite the shortcomings you mentioned, however, I'd still like to read this book, just to see how the story develops along with Zach.

This book sounds like it has the makings of a good thriller; too bad it falls short on the suspense and surprises. Unfortunately, I'm easily bored when things are too predictable, so this book might not be for me. Still, I won't entirely write it off in case I just need some entertainment. Thank you for the very helpful review.

The lack of suspense makes me feel like I would not enjoy this one very much. I do like crime novels though, so I may give it a try down the road.

This is not yet a suspense thriller? Well, we could look for other attributes that will make this book worth reading. I think the plot is good enough. The characters are developed correspondingly. Thanks for your interesting and unique review. I might yet find myself going for this book.

An excellent review. I found, the sample reading intriguing. It's sad that there is no proper suspense, like any other novels, which keep you guessing till the last few pages. As the reviewer said, this legal crime thriller could be a good read for anyone who likes courtroom scenes. I too, wish to have this one on my shelf.

well, well well, the rumble begun no one was there but Zach made it be captivating and the writer gave a suspense of the year. Couldn't love it more

I am glad to know in advance that the story lacks suspense. I think I'll pass on this one.

Great review! The lack of suspense from knowing the real murderer right off the bat might be a put-off, but I would still want to know the circumstances that lead to the brutal death of the victim. After all, just knowing who did it is not enough to convict a criminal without evidence. Perhaps that is what the author wants to show in the book.

Thanks for the review! You have so lucidly explained the attractions and the lacunae of this novel. The author has tried to position The Candle Room as a legal drama cum crime thriller however, he has failed to create any suspense in the story. I think I will pass this.

The book with court room drama but a little suspense is not my type of book. Nonetheless, I like to experiment so may be i can give it a chance.

:techie-reference: :tiphat: Nice review anyways but I do hope there's a nice courtroom drama in the story, that will be the most attractive thing in the story, but still I think I'll like this story because of hidden misery discovered at the end, and justice

I read the review. In my opinion I could care less about suspense as long as it has a great story. And for me, a crime and law thriller is a must read. Congratulations for making into BOTD.
