These are the kind of book that captures your whole attention and throws your mind and body into it. Lincoln Cole’s Raven’s Peak is a great fantasy thriller that has great characterization and wonderful plot all the way to the end. The book is filled to the brim with gripping plot twists, character development, and supernatural horror.

The story revolves around a lady Abigail and a young graduate Haalim Arison. Abigail has been trained to kill demons. Haalim is still suffering from the death of his younger sister from cancer. He lost his faith in God and anything religious. He meets a stranger who gives him a job to take photos of a lady following him (Abigail) who he believes to be stalking him. He found himself threatened by the people who hired him to follow Abigail and protected by her. It is so ironic the person he believed to be a dangerous person was the one protecting him from his pursuers. He finds out that the cut he had on one of his arms was an initiation into a cult move and that the people after him wants to use him as a vessel for a demon. His faith is tested again after everything he learned about his father and also the demons.

Abigail is then sent on a mission in Raven’s peak to check on strange things that are happening in the village and is forced to take Haalim with him. This was after she found out Haalim was the son of one of the council members. While in the village Abigail gets a feeling that she was once before in the area and she knows the place but she could not understand how. She feels the power of something great and does not know how she can withstand such powers after the events of the previous months that led to the disappearance of his mentor Arthur taken by the demons. When Haalim finally manages to send the Demon back to the hell they learn that the demon was coming for and try to get to it and check only find someone is trying to kill them proving there is someone in the council involved with the Demons.

The book brings out the best of the story and characters. Cole captures the attention of the readers completely without blinking. What is more interesting with the book is the suspense and the idealess remarks of Haalim. He seems to be stupid but at the same time brave and full of faith. The fragile Haalim and the tough Abigail makes the story really awesome that I can’t wait for the second part of the story. The twisted plot makes you yearn to read more and leaves you looking forward to reading the nest series of the book.

Since the book is incredibly awesome and exceptional, I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars. I would gladly recommend the book to someone who loves supernatural and thriller stories. This book being so fascinating, I can’t wait to read the next book after this on the series
