Humor and crime? I might have to check this book out. Thank you for the review. It was thorough and I felt like I was already reading the book. Can't wait to read this one.

Sounds like an engaging page-turner all through. Your excitement for the book shows in your equally engaging review.

It's interesting that this was a thrilling read even though the clues were obvious. I'm learning a lot about different aspects of the mystery genre round here!

I suppose it’s a bit like a Columbo where you know how they did it, but watching the investigation is the exciting bit. Thanks for posting 👍

That sounds very ironic, someone working in a modern world but refuses to use technology. I'm not into this genre but I do love to read books with satisfying ending like this one as you mentioned. But I'd still prefer something enjoyable to read from the start, to the middle and up to the last page of a book.

Oh, it’s satisfying all the way through, I just meant that the ride is as enjoyable as the destination.

I agree. There are some books where it's not necessarily as important that you know the identity of the criminal. There are so many other things going on, that it's okay. I've read my fair share of books that I sit and yell at the characters! Sounds like this was enjoyable. Thanks.

Seriously, I don't know what I enjoy more, the books you recommend or the reading the recommendation itself! Thanks for the laugh.

You did it again, Helen! Sonny and I should meet very soon. Alan Blank is looking better with every book. In the first book, he filed a case for identity theft. Here, he is beaten up on his birthday. I wonder if he can match his bizarre experiences to all the forthcoming books. The plot thickens.
