I had a proper laugh at the disclaimer! This book sounds like a real old school detective book - what fun! Thanks for the awesome review :)

OK. I need to go read this book. GREAT review! Really. I felt like you were taking me on a walk through a street in the 1940's. I'm definitely reading this book. Thank you.

I like Sonny already. I remember my favorite Sue Grafton (Bless her soul!) who set her mysteries in the 80's when cell phones were yet unknown.

I devour crime and mystery books and am on the lookout for authors to follow. It seems like Mr. Blank does not fire blank bullets, so he might make my list.

I am curious about the deadly musical talent of Miss Oglethorpinger, but I am tickled by your review. Another good one!

I don't remember when was the last time I read any detective books and I think this is the right book to restart my detective 'journey'. At first, I was not interested to read this book until I read your review. Thank you for your fascinating review!
