Some camps are pretty far out in the woods, especially in MI and upper WI. Most just give the impression of isolation, like you said. I got the impression that the author was describing something that he had experienced personally, even though the book is fictional. Hope you get a chance to read it. It is much more than a "camp" book!Dael Reader wrote: ↑02 Jun 2018, 20:27 Well, I'm intrigued. I'll think of this one as a maybe. On a side note, do kids today really go away to camps that are far from civilization? I'm pretty sure every camp I ever went to was only about five miles away from at least a convenience store!

Some of my favorite books in recent years have been those intended for younger readers. Based on your review, this sounds like a good read to me. Good writing, good descriptions, good character development, and a mystery? I'm in! Thanks for the review!

I had my doubts about the young adult genre. But it exceeded my expectations. Hope you get a chance to read it.kandscreeley wrote: ↑03 Jun 2018, 18:07 Young adult is one of my favorite genres. This sounds really fun to read. I'll have to look it up. Thanks so much.
