Review of A Long Night of Chaos
A Long Night of Chaos is a political thriller that blends elements of individual heroism, true love, and camaraderie. The author skillfully weaves these themes against a backdrop of intense political tension and dangerous wartime situations.
True courage is shown in the face of danger, bearing the weight of the fear of loss. The author creates a compelling character with inner vulnerabilities who demonstrates great courage in critical moments. We feel the dread experienced by the main character, Ruslan, as he continues his peace mission among conflicting political groups. We see his desire for a safe and peaceful life with his wife and newborn son. However, a deeper sense of responsibility drives him to persist in his dangerous mission, despite his fear of death and longing for a peaceful life with his family. When faced with an imminent death threat, he is terrified, but he urges himself to be brave and does his best to save the lives of his comrades. A hero is not someone invincible like God; a hero is someone who takes on a meaningful task despite danger and loss. In my opinion, I can be moved by God for He sacrificed His Son out of love for humanity, but I will not worship God simply because He is almighty and invincible.
The author explores three kinds of true love in the story. Ruslan is a man blessed with the love of three remarkable women. His former girlfriend is separated from him due to a plot by his enemies. When they reunite after many years, it is clear that she still genuinely cares for him. Her repeated phone calls urging him to be cautious of his enemies and not to choose glory over his life reflect her deep concern. His fighting friend, Leila, is drawn to him as they work together on the peace mission. During this time, she feels vulnerable and longs for support. Although his relationship with Tamara begins as a setup, she ultimately proves to be the ideal wife for him. They love and respect each other. The most important aspect is that Tamara is the woman who supports him and is willing to stand by him. Unlike the other two women, who are deeply entrenched in politics, Tamara is simply the wife of a politician.
A deep, enduring friendship is also forged during the mission between Lionidza, Leila, and Ruslan. They join the mission for different reasons, but over time, they genuinely care for one another and feel profound sorrow when one of them dies.
This book is professionally edited, with no grammatical errors. I rate it 5 out of 5 because I truly enjoyed reading it, and it is a book filled with positive energy. The book is excellent as it is now, and I cannot think of any ways to improve it.
