I love the cover of the book, therefore, I would have chosen to read the book based on that. Having read the review and the sample, the book seemed even more interesting than the cover because apart from it being full of suspense, it is also seasoned with a bit of humor.I loved reading about the romantic interactions between Gina and Miguel. Michele Khoury's "Busted" sounds like a fun read that will fill the reader with a whirlwind of emotions! Like you, however, I agree that your feelings meant that you were attached to the characters because the author developed them well. I understand your love for the villains in the story, in fact i can not imagine a fascinating crime story featuring a well decorated hero.The frenzy around the ultimate triumph of good over evil makes sense ,however for crime stories i believe the more complex the better.Half-solved mysteries are better than the boring simplicity of absolute resolve.Thanks for sharing.
