The book sounds interesting from your review, I love stories based on spy actions and I'll definitely read this one considering the fact that the setting goes multinational from Russia to Poland to England, I really love that. Thanks for the review it was really helpful.

With all of the errors, I'm not sure this is the book for me. Russia terrorist meddling is an old story and a bit tiring. I don't think i'll be checking it out. I wish spy novels would choose a new plot. From the review I can almost predict what happens and it's pretty much all the same and tiring.

Thank you for your comprehensive review of The Coal'd War by James Alan Thomson. It's always interesting to read a gripping spy novel, but its plot looks too trite for me. And thank you for pointing out the flaws with its formatting.

I liked the play on words with title. The thrill of the chase sounds like my kind of book for sure. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

The book sounds interesting, it is definetly going to be a future read!! Seems like it'll keep my attention, since it has many different characters.

I read the sample and, honestly, couldn’t figure out what was going on. In addition to the Kindle problems you mention, the were multiple punctuation errors on every page. I’m not sure I’m willing to slog through the first half if the book just to get to the good part. I appreciate your review, though.

The sample was very well-written. I didn’t read too far yet so I’m happy to know the pace picks up. Too bad about errors though, that really detracts from the professionalism. Thanks for your review.

After reading the sample I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy the whole book, but your review gives me hope that I probably would. Spy thrillers are always so interesting, with lots of plot twists and turns! I look forward to reading.

Very nice and detailed review. Sounds like a great read but I'm not in a rush to try this one.

Definitely not a book I would be interested in. Plots to turn England into a communist state, bad formatting and not enough editing- all these turn me off before I even get started. Great review though.

I really like the pun in the title, it's very fitting. I also think action and spy thrillers are so much fun to read. It's a shame about the spelling and grammar errors but I also like that there are plot twists and unexpected endings, it really shakes things up. Great review!

I was disappointed in the sample to find so many errors in the first pages. It's such a shame. I wonder if authors know how unsavory this makes their books?

I agree from the sample book it is slow moving. Reading just the first chapter I was bored, but I'm not a fan of War books. It does sound like a good book from the review.
