Such an interesting plot which involves national security and people with different nationalities. Definitely worth reading.

I'm surprised you gave this so many stars. The apparent lack of any understanding of the use of a comma in just the sample killed off any interest I might have had in reading this.

Slightly difficult to read and slow start, but interesting topic of the Soviet Union’s influence on Britain. Suprised the jump between the British coal miners and Soviet Union is described as ‘exciting’, I found it more muddling and not very clear cut as it felt random how the author switched between the two. At times I felt like I was reading a Wikipedia page. However, from the sample alone I cannot judge it fully and do see potential for an exciting plot with a lot of factual content. I’m just unsure how clearly it will be executed.

This sounds almost too realistic for comfort, but fascinating!

It greatly depicts the situation of war fear anguish confusion death sorrow loss which took place in 1980.The language is very ornamental n catchy the topis itself is a story revealing history.

Good Review. Not sure I like this one though. It moves a little slow for me in the sample. Also not really interested in the cold war and such.

Thanks for the great review, I'm starting to get into books about the war. I didn't previously like them, but since I watched Hacksaw Ridge they have become more interesting to me. I'm not sure about the formatting errors though, sometimes the bad flow is just to distracting for me. I'll have to try and see if I like it.

Yes there were a few grammatical errors, and a slow start reader, but looking past that and actually wanting to understanding these "war books" . I honestly think is was a great read. Majority of us aren't from these day and ages, or we arent "spy material" to read in between the lines so we don't "Get it"... Lol.. I thought it was pretty good and interesting. Thank you.

I'm not a big fan of spy novels, but this one sounds interesting and I have become more interested in the Cold War lately, so a fictionalization like this might be worth a read. Thank you for the thorough review.

Thanks for the great review - there is probably an element of truth in this book topic? It sounds like it is let down by poor spelling and formatting.

After reading the sample and your review, I'm kind of interested in this book. I generally like spy thrillers and this one seems like it will be a good read with a lot of double crossing and double agents. Happy that the story picks up after developing slowly. I also like that you said that the book has an ending and didn't end in a cliffhanger. I usually like when a story has an ending and doesn't just end without answers. Thanks for your review.

I found the theme of this book very interesting and engaging, but the writing itself wasn't really good enough to hold my attention. I think you're right--3 out of 4 stars is justified. The writer had some descriptive scenes that could've been powerful if not for the punctuation mistakes, which were distracting. I think this author is promising but has room to grow.

Sometimes the formatting for Kindle does stink. The review illustrates well about the book and what the author is portraying to the reader. Just reading the sample pages, the book had an okay start to it. :techie-studyinggray:
