As I was reading your review, the story reminded me a little of one flew over the cuckoo's nest. I'm very intrigued and this should prove to be an interesting read. Thanks for the great review.
Give me the courage to get through this week...or at least a big bar of chocolate :D

A gripping crime mystery set in a small town in the 1950’s sounds intriguing. The opportunity to learn about mental illness at that time would be educational. I’m glad the suspense is maintained until the end.

A murder mystery set in a small town in Wisconsin, being solved by a soon-to-retire cop and a teenage boy, sounds intriguing. Trying to prove a mentally ill man innocent would be a challenge, especially amid the misconceptions about mental illness that prevailed during the 1950's. Thanks for your review!

I love a good mystery. I agree with you that the backstory can be sometimes lengthy but it's important in any storyline for the readers to better understand the character.
Thanks for your review! Loved it!

This book explains the monster part of a person. It is ground-breaking and psych-confusing book. Congrats to the BOTD. Thanks for this review.

Monsters in the Hallway
This title already got me glued and reading the review, i must say it's definitely a must read. I'm a fan of crime novels and i get really interested to know the evils that actually dwell among us apart from what everyone sees on the surface. The psychology behind every action is an important step in seeing things better than they seem. A really in-depth review.

I loved the storyline, and also the fact that the author provided enough background. I agree that this aspect often stays unaddressed, particularly in the thriller genre. The author's real life experiences will surely put an authentic light on the contents. I have obtained a copy and can not wait to start reading this. Thanks for the insightful review.
