I did like the opening opening paragraph, even though his writing style gave me a headache. I think the author could've edited a bit on those adjetives. There's an element of campiness I just couldn't get behind. The amount of run-on sentances messed with the story's flow. Why do I feel like Kurt is a libertarian? He sounds like he tucks his shirt in his underwear.
