Rupert Muhler passes away due to a heart attack and leaves an inheritance of close to 5 million dollars to Koln Claussen, also known as Kay. But on the condition that she outlives him by 60 days and must be married; if not, it will go to the Successor Trustee, who is Gunnar. Grace O'Higgins, who is the lawyer helping Kay, tells her that they can give a settlement offer to Gunnar to avoid her rushing into a marriage with someone she barely knows. Kay sends a settlement offer to Gunnar, but he and Elke reject it and send a counteroffer to her. Kay meets up with Gunnar, dressed a bit like Elke, and he tells her his counteroffer, which she rejects. Kay tells him to discuss the new offer with Elke. A few days later, Gunnar catches the flu and starts feeling down.

Kay decides to get married so she can get her inheritance. Her whole marriage ceremony is recorded on camera, and some people are eyewitnesses to the wedding. A day later, Gunnar died of the flu. Grace checked on everyone to make sure they didn't get the flu from Gunnar, but after a few days, Elke died, followed by Luisa. The inheritance is liquidated and transferred out of the Rupert Muhler Revocable Inter Vivos Trust. Did Gunnar die of the flu, or was he murdered? Who liquidated and transferred the inheritance out of the Rupert Muhler Revocable Inter Vivos Trust, and why? If you're curious to learn more, you'll need to get a copy of The Doorstep of Depravity: A Tale of Lawyers, Heirs, Greed, Deceit, Lust, & Death by Noah Bond.

This book is a psychological thriller that left me utterly captivated from start to finish. It is spectacular and a mix of suspense and drama. I loved all the unexpected twists in this book that put me on my toes, and I always wanted to know what happened next. The way Kay (Mlle. Stewart) manipulated and did everything was actually quite fascinating. My favorite character is Dr. Pantu; her resilience and ability not to give up were really inspiring. I also loved Brandt and Grace, and I was rooting for them to end up together.

If you enjoy psychology thrillers, then The Doorstep of Depravity: A Tale of Lawyers, Heirs, Greed, Deceit, Lust, & Death by Noah Bond is a must-read for you. There is nothing to dislike about this book; it is wonderfully written and told in such a way that it compelled me to keep reading and turning the pages. I wholeheartedly give this book a 5 out of 5 stars because I disliked nothing about it, and it was exceptionally edited.

I really like the other novels by Noah Bond that I’ve read so I can’t imagine that I’d dislike this one. Even though this revolves around a forced marriage and could easily be a romance novel, I doubt that it is. You have proposed great questions that I will have to find out the answers to. Thanks!

I enjoy psychology thrillers. I enjoy books with legal disputes, inheritances, tangled up situations. This seems like a book I will enjoy, I am eager to find out if the untimely passing of several characters is indeed murder.

I love psychological thrillers, and this one has a very good plot. Marriage and living beyond 69 days are easy enough to think about doing, but in reality, as we shall see, can be very very hard. Lovely review, thanks for the information.

I liked the reviewer's explanation of the aspects of the book. The plot of the psychological story mixed with suspense isn't my favourite now, but that doesn't diminish the author’s ability to facilitate the reader's imagination of events and their consequences on the characters. Congrats on BOTD!

Your review is very intriguing, Salome! I sampled the opening episode about the reading of the will, when Kay was informed about her inheritance of five million dollars after taxes if she married in the next thirty days. Like you, I felt captivated from the first page. Your review suggests that there is a lot of mystery and a series of suspicious deaths to unravel in this book, and I look forward to reading it!

A gripping tale of inheritance, unanticipated deaths, and mystery is hinted at in this review. Following Rupert Muhler's passing, Kay has sixty days to get married and inherit her $5 million; else, Gunnar will inherit it. Congrats on BOTD.
