Thank you for a great review. I read a sample and am hooked. I think I've found a new favorite mystery writer and I can't wait to get back to reading the book.

This is a very intriguing story, along the tradition of "whu-dun-it" thrillers which challenges the mind of the reader. Thanks for the interesting review.

A Detective following on in a missing case should be a challenging read. The reader would be tempted to forward his or her opinion -- and that is where the excitement begins ---to follow up with the result of the story. And that would be the end of the story if there is proper closure at all. If none, then a sequel is in order. Thank you for your nice review.

It seems that the suspense in this book is really intense. That made me instantly interested with it. The fact that it's professionally written is a bonus. Thanks for the insightful review.

It's my first book by J. L. Doucette and it was not a bad experience. The plot is engaging, the beginning is just like every other; a woman vanishes, nobody has seen or heard from her for a few days so an investigation proceeds. And this is when the mystery begins: the police officer leading the case, who also happens to be related to the vanished woman, and the psychiatrist who was her therapist. There are also other characters related to the victim in various ways - by blood or friendship - who have their say in the story. All this allows for a deep insight into what happens to people left behind when a person vanishes; they all suffer, blaming themselves for not being there for her. The book is written well, good read.. Thumbs up to the writer!

I never thought that this will capture my interest because the title doesn't have a --- bang! But I guessed it wrong, since this is a suspense and mystery genre. Thanks for your great review.

It was a good book but a little hard to follow with a differant point of view every chapter and until towards the end was slightly boring like it was just dragging on a little to much I like the character of detective antelope and the dr and brother but didnt really like the characters of Tracy and kimmy husband he was a real jerk I wanted to punch him lol but it was ok it would have nice if there was a little more action or maybe even a little comedy or romance or something to pull ot together so didnt seem to drag on but it was good.
