So while I am slightly worried about the ending, I am so excited about this book. I absolutely love stuff about psychology and false memories are fascinating. I am definitely going to be reading this book!

I don’t think I’ve ever read a book where the culprit was named in the beginning. I’ll be curious to know if I like it.

Generally I can guess whodunit and how things are going to play out so telling us in the beginning isn’t such a turn off, however knowing the ending leaves you hanging might keep me from being fully invested in the book. I do have to say, your description really made it seem more interesting than the blurb on Amazon.

I thought the hypnosis plot sounded fascinating, but after reading your opinion of the ending, I think I'll give it a miss. I hate anticlimatic endings.

Thanks for the review! I typically like psychological thrillers, however, this one lost my attention while reading the free sample. There is something about an old college campus though that gives one the spooks-- maybe I'll give it a shot!

Fake memories planted in someone’s head definitely makes for a creepy, yet fascinating tale! I’ll have to give it a try even with the iffy ending.

This book is a must read for me. I'm excited, even with the lackluster ending. Thanks for the review!

I like your review and completely agree that there needs to be climatic ending. I would be disappointed if I read an engaging and suspenseful book only to realize that the ending was lack luster. I am happy to know that the editing was professionally done. I think this book could have been a four star book if the ending left the reader with more of an impact.

WOW. Sounds like a mystery and i'm in love. John is going to have a great time when he discovers that his most trusted person; someone he trusted with his life didn't hesitate in backstabbing him. Amazing review. I'm already into the book.

Thank you for the in-depth review of Mike Thorne's Murder in Memory. It has a fascinating premise that Dr. Andrews uses murder to assuage his headache pain, but he uses hypnosis to plant memories in his patient's mind so he thinks he has committed the murder. It is too bad the ending didn't meet your expectations, as that is what readers motivates a reader to read another book by an author.

It's terrifying that someone could use that method to cover up murder! Reminds me of Memento.

Sounds like an interesting cast and I look forward to reading it. Great review!

I am excited to read this. Chapters are quite short but it's good. I do love books like this. And I too hope there is a sequel!

Planted memories? Cool! Along the same lines as Inception? I'm interested either way!
