I'd pick this book up anyway because I'm a sucker for pretty covers, but the story sounds interesting too. I really enjoy YA mystery novels.

"A tree that does not bear good fruit shall die." Jesus said this of a tree, and the tree died.

The same is true of Linhurst, and it will be true of other establishments and institutions.

This book accords the reader diversity in reading opportunities, it discusses new realms of human existence, ie, mental illnesses, that are rarely discussed in contemporary informal writings except in medical and professional books and journals fora.

The book started a bit slow and at a point, the events appeared to be in a rush. Am really curious about what secret the town is hiding about the mental institution "Linhurst" Jack and Celia sneaking into the building during Halloween makes it creepier, more ghosts for them. I love this book and as a great fan of mysteries, this book got my attention also with its catchy book cover. I recommend thus book for my brother in 9th grade
Great Review

Great review, affirmed the book may not be for me, in genre and age group recommendation. Small "tween" typo may confuse a reader especially if they're denying themselves sleep to catch up with reviews. ?

I enjoyed your review (and the book). I agree that having the story take place around Halloween adds to the spookiness.
