An interesting concept and storyline. Though I havent really invested in reading thriller suspense particularly on biotechnology, this book seemed interesting and would worth a read. I will check this out and read this.

So, a bioscientist is trying to eradicate the coca plant?
Naturally, there are any number of people who absolutely do not want to see the project succeed.
Naturally! LOL Sounds good! :)

This is an inspiring read! If this was true many people would be saved from addiction and more would protest against the idea. Great review!

Thanks for the review. The book explores the effects of a discovery/invention that has positive benefits. In the cocaspore project Paul faces a similar problem in an instance where those who benefit from the cocaine trade largely oppose him.

Interesting plot but I tend to steer away from books that contain drug-related violence. Would be interesting, however, if this fiction was to become real in the future.

Thanks for the lovely review. It sounds like a book I'll enjoy, especially as I've read something of Robin Cook. I'm sure I'll enjoy reading how Dr Paul goes about accomplishing his mission to eradicate the deeply entrenched trade of cocaine despite numerous setbacks. Too bad about the lack of strong female characters and proper editing.

I have to agree with you on the sidelining of female characters. Too often, male authors seem to write the women in their books, like you said, as arm candy or damsels in distress. However, this does sound like a good thriller with a base in science and the drug trade. Thanks for your thoughtful insight on the book.

These are rare ideas to come about in the history of writing. I love the concept to destroy the cocaine sources.

This is not a new thing to have happened. It happens every other day. Many will not want to see your projects succeed because they'll lose in one way or the other. Indeed this is a practical teaching. Congrats on being BOTD.

I find this review very interesting the person who is very determined to so away with the illegal business of cocaine is under pressure and faces a lot of threats from the people who do the business. This also make him to leave the place and go to a different place . This is truly an enjoyable article

This book is a must read, as its educative prowess seems good, though naturally some people would want to stop the project not allowing it to succeed, Dr Paul the Bioscientist got a situation, this review is nice and I applaud the writers idea.

As a side note, is not cocaine used as an anesthetic? Totally wiping it out of existence would constitute a loss on Pharmacology. Even opiates which are also abused by drug addicts should be retained, these drugs are generic to painkilling prescriptions.
