I never thought the narrator would be humorous at moments as the story seems thrilling and perhaps even something dark, but it does seem interesting. Great job on the review, the rating explanation is fair.

I am fond of fairy tales and i love happy endings, this might be an exemption though because i love the story line and i might jut want to know how it goes. Good job with the review.

I find it far more realistic when there isn't a storybook ending. Additionally, it makes it harder to predict the outcome, which makes for a far more enjoyable read.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

Your review really makes the book sound intriguing. I don't really like horror but I think a good storyline with a twist can can make up for a sad ending.

Good dialogue can cover for a lot of other deficiencies.

This book is perfect for me! Thanks for such a well written review. Crime/suspense/horror are my favorite novels. I look forward to reading this to see how it ends for poor Jack and his family.
Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.

This sounds like a real page-turner. I have an insatiable appetite for 'crazy' characters and it looks like I will find one here. Thanks for the review.
