The Expansion by Christoph Martin is a thriller, and a thriller in business world sounds envious. I think I would give it a try, and congrats on #BOTD.

I agree with you about the cliffhangers most authors love. You hate them for the suspense but love them for another chance of another adventure. Thank you for a very on-point review. Keep it up.

Human greed is certainly a problem these days, and this book seems to highlight that idea. I wonder what would happen with the deal for the Panama Canal. Congrats to the author on BOTD! :)

I'm not sure I totally understand what the book is about, but it seems that the Americans would go a long way to stop the Chinese and construct the Panama canal. I would love to read this book. Congrats on the BOTD.

Having never read a thriller book, this book captures my attention especially on corporate espionage among others. I would really want to read this book.

I do love mysteries and thrillers, yet the premise based on corporate espionage doesn't appeal to me much. I will pass this one. Thanks for the wholesome review though!

Corporate espionage, intrigue, and cutthroat business and clandestine agencies - this sounds like this novel will keep the reader on the edge of their seat to the very end. Thanks for the thorough review!

The complex multiple plot twists make this #BOTD an attention-grabbing novel. While this seems to cross the threshold of historical fiction, I am intrigued by the perceptions that the author gives from the various characters.
Great review.

This seems like a very fun book to read although I do agree that cliffhangers can be overrated, it kind of irks me at times when I don't get a satisfying conclusion to story. Nonetheless, what a great review you wrote!

Thanks for the review. I love when an author can take the characters and scenery and describe them so well that you imagine being there and think you know them so well. Even though there was a cliffhanger, I am glad you were left wanting more and didn't lessen the review due to that.

It's amazing that the book is incredibly engrossing given that the reader would be glued reading about how different nations put their bid over Panama canal.
