[Following is a volunteer review of "The 11.05 Murders" by Brian O'Hare.]
[rbc=4]id98862-125[/rbc]Denise Stewart just joined a new workforce. The new officers that she works with are the complete opposite of her previous coworkers. She is there a short time before the first case arrives and it is a gruesome murder. The new companionship is a welcomed relief as the force tries to solve this murder with very little evidence. Denise and the force are rocked as a second murder using the same methods as the first occurs, including the same day of the week and the same time. The team scrambles to uncover any evidence they can when they become targets as well. New evidence, research, and anonymous tips lead to the discovery that the victims are all connected to a twelve year old crime where Denise resembles the victim. Can the police solve the crime before the murderer strikes again while protecting their own?

I enjoyed the way the author, Brian O’Hare , captures the entire spectrum of human emotion in this book. He shows how emotions play a key part in everyday life. Anger, joy, fear, revenge, and even obsession are very prominent throughout The 11:05 Murders. O’Hare uses these emotions to grow the characters during this book. The intensity that is used when describing the feelings each person is experiencing really allowed for me to be drawn into the story.

This book is the second installment of a series. I did not feel like I needed to have read the first book in order to enjoy The 11:05 Murders. I feel like it could be a stand alone novel in itself, but the idea of it being part of a series encourages me to find the rest of the books and read them as well.

The novel starts out in the past. I was slightly confused about it until I continued reading and I slowly pieced together the reasoning. The way the book is laid out is similar to a crime drama on television. I could not put the book down once I started to read it. There were multiple twists that kept me guessing as to the identity of the murderer. I was left guessing until the very end.

I give The 11:05 Murders by Brian O'Hare 4 out of 4 stars. I could not find any mistakes during the reading. The depth and detail that the author uses really allowed for me to become part of the book. The way the book starts allows for a full circle from begging to end. I felt like I was there during the investigation from the start to the adrenaline fueled finale. I will highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an edge of your seat thriller.
