Oh, you sold me when you said "movie buffs"! LOVE the old black and whites--Bogie is my man--so for that reason I am looking forward to spending an afternoon with this one. Thanks for the informative review. Good job.

I love a good "whodoneit" and A Touch of Homicide is a great story! I enjoyed your review very much, it was thorough and detailed without giving away too many of the plot points. Good job, thank you!??????

Get a real Guys and Dolls feeling from this review. Expect someone to be sat behind a desk in a brown suit, smoking a cigar in a dingy office narrating his steps through a 'whodunnit' mystery. A very well written review. I think I would like to read this.

I'm not a mystery fan myself, but the way you reviewed this book was so on point that now I have to read it. I already got a hang of the samples on Kindle, but I think I'm going to purchase it all, especially since you rated it 4/4 and said the story can be a read as a standalone, so since there are more books, I will definitely enjoy more stuff!

That is to this review, I have added this novel to my reading list. Popular authors seem to go for thrillers instead of actual mysteries.

Sometimes a nice cozy mystery is just the ticket and this one sounds great. When I found out he was a writer/producer on Murder, She Wrote, one of my favorite shows back in the day, I was definitely intrigued. Thanks for the insightful review.

I'm actually not a huge mystery fan, but this book makes me want to read it! I especially like the author's tone, and how he creates the images of the story come alive in my mind's eye. Some stories are just too bland and simple, but this definitely isn't one of them!

At only about 200 pages, the book can easily be read in one sitting.
This is an interesting comment. In general, I read 50 pages per hour, so this would be 4 hours out of my day. But if it Is a "fluffy narrative," maybe less.
Still, this good, detailed review convinced me to read further than the sample.

This book certainly reads like a well-researched piece. I enjoyed reading the preview as well as the official review. It sounds almost like the movie watched in the beginning correlates a little with the rest of the book with so many characters who have a motive and an abundance of twists and turns. Great job on the review!

I like the fact that the story is set in the old hollywood, as a movie geek i really apreciate the details, and i love mysteries as well so this is the book for me.
