Sounds interesting, I like books that have two main characters it makes the plot easy to follow, sex scene in Berlin is a great starter. I will have to find time to read.

[*]This is a graphically written review. Truely Jack and Maria struck me as an unlikely pair who managed to work perfectly well together. The underworld of crime and prostitution is a dangerous place to be and deadly for a runaway prostitute like Maria. It is truly a great read.

I am really enjoying The Last Stop.
The characters, as you mention in your review, are delightfully different, sometimes eccentric, and part of the book’s charm is that they all find themselves negotiating unchartered territory.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to finish the book.

I'm not usually drawn to crime thrillers, however, your review of Clive Pensee's "The Last Stop" did entice me to want to read this book. The story line seems to hold your attention to the point you wouldn't want to put it down.

It sounds intriguing and I like the idea of a mature-aged protagonist in Jack!

Was Maria working in the brothel? She escaped to reunite with her sister, I suppose. Very heart-wrenching read, I believe. Congrats on the review. I don't know if my heart is strong enough to read this one.

This book doesn't seem like something I'd be interested in reading what with the heavy topics discussed. Thanks for the review!

I really like the Jack character so far. I can't tell if he's lonely, or crazy, or maybe a sexual predator. I love watching the girl through his eyes. I cannot wait to keep reading!

This book sounds very interesting, especially on account of the fact that the protagonists aren't at all what you'd typically expect. I can definitely see why you'd rate it four stars. Jack sounds really intriguing.

This sounds like a crime thriller that goes just one step further than usual and involves a dangerous and contentious industry. From the review, the author has hit the nail on the head with respect to character development and complementary characters.
