I am a thriller fan and gore is normal for me. But the scenes here seem too outrageous for my taste.

I read the sample of this book and thought it was well written, just not my normal genre! Great review :)

Something tells me that I need this book in my life. Shooter, Goodfellas, and Boondock Saints are just 3 of my favorite movies that center around this "military/mob" theme. Add in them versus the terrorists we all hate and it sounds enjoyable.

Truly a great action adventure. Excellent character development and an incredible opening chapter. Well-researched and educational as far as military and SEAL operations and weaponry. Would suggest!

The title sounds apt as the character fights a war on many fronts. Afghan terrorists, and agents from homeland society. Throw in a family from the mob and you have the perfect recipe for an action thriller. Book sounds like quite the page turner

Wow, I thought this was gonna be one of those boring war stories, thank goodness for this review! It's totally up my alley, thanks to years of reading James Patterson's series, can't wait to check it out! Congrats to the author for snagging such a rave review.

The graphic violence sounds a little off putting. The rest of the review sounds like a good book for me to read.

Sounds like far too much is going on in this book. I don't think it's one for me. I'm not a huge fan of reading military books, and it just doesn't sound very realistic.

Based on the review, Bishop's War seems to be a multifaceted read. Therefore, people will have different reasons for reading. There are terrorists, the mafia, and a character, Michael Meecham, who seems to be hauntingly based on a real person. I am not sure I can stomach the violence and foul language, but I am intrigued by the characters, Bishop and his family and what keeps them human or likable in the midst of war.

I'm not usually an action thriller fan but this one sounds very fascinating, especially the idea of a mob family versus a terrorist group. I can definitely say I haven't come up against that premise before. I'll probably have to give it a try. Thank you for the thorough and insightful review.

Thanks for a great honest review. It sounds thrilling, a book that cane be made into a Hollywood movie. The gore, violence and swearing will not bother me because it is fiction.
Thanks Rafael and BOTD.

Yet another book that lionizes soldiers instead of condemning them. Another good one to miss, or even better burn. Thanks for the warning!
