Nice review! You are spot on with the naïveté of Haatim - and the extreme change at the end made it worse.

Thank you for your informative review. Having to choose between the lesser evil or doing what is morally wrong to take down a greater evil is so controversial and scandalising but it is the reality of our everyday life.

I have read the short story, "Raven's Peak" and firmly agree with you after reading your post that the book is related to supernatural effects. Because in the first reading with the horrific way the Reverend Arthur was being treated by some unknown forces, and the lustful feeling that he got, it made me think that the other readings would take you into a world of vampires, but unfortunately it was not so, since I like to read about vampires I was disappointed. I didn't read much about Abigail and Haatim, what little I have read they were missing and Frieda needed the Reverend to assist in finding them. The story seems to be entertaining and the author "Lincoln Cole" has done a terrific job for its readers, a "Stephen King" type supernatural story. Therefore, I would have to read the entire book to know what really did happened.

I like the identified theme of this book and what had transpired to fight evil.the reverend's feeling of guilt is also valid because he is considered a preacher and yet he acted unbecoming of one.I really like the idea that indeed Faith is the ultimate force to battle evil.i like to read this book to get myself influenced of the strong Faith demonstrated to figth evil.

I enjoyed this book as well. The plot and characters were well defined and the book held your attention from start to finish. The cliff hanger is my favorite part. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Supernatural powers, horror, mysteries and thriller are key components of the novel(I think after reading your review). Hope to read the book soon. Till then, Thanks for the review! :tiphat:

This seems like an intriguing and interesting book for readers of this genre. Alas I am not a fan of horror, so I’m skipping this! Thanks for your review!

I loved your description "this is an enjoyable book to get sucked into for a few days". With summer vacation on the horizon, I need to stockpile a few books just like this. Also good to see that the edition you read has been edited and updated.
