Review of Mysterious Secret Guardians Owl Mountain Doomsday Solution
Abigor, a repentant demon, joins the Mysterious Secret Guardians team, comprising Dr. Albert Einstein, Sir Winston, David, Sophie, Druid, a recently deceased Angus, and Bones, the only human on the team. The world faces looming danger due to the actions of several individuals, such as the plans of the New Global Agenda to make clones of Hitler, Goebbels, and Himmler’s from their cells. The rumored existence of a Doomsday Machine does not make the situation any lighter. While the team is tasked with finding a way to prevent the world's doom, Bones learns from Admiral Stallings that they will lose the battle. What does this mean for the world?
Mysterious Secret Guardians: The Owl Mountain Doomsday Solution was a splendid read. Dorothy McCoy brought a mix of science and the supernatural, with demons working with scientists for the fulfillment of their plans. This was the first positive aspect of the book. Not once have I imagined the possibility of a relationship between science and spiritual beings. Let's talk about the character choices. Dorothy created the team with individuals whose different abilities were crucial to the team. You may be wondering what Dr. Einstein’s role is. You will be amazed when you discover more about his character because, as earlier stated, Bones is the only human on the team.
I constantly commended the author and understood why the story was told from Bones’ point of view. You will come to appreciate this after reading the book. I loved having access to her thoughts, especially as she was the only mortal on the team. The use of dramatic irony in the book was well thought out. This device was used only when relevant, and I found myself constantly reacting to the characters’ actions based on things they were unaware of. The book is humorous; several examples of humor are found in Bones’ narration. I must add the love between Bones and David. One wonders how long a love story between a human and an immortal being can last.
Despite the fact that the book was amazing, there were some aspects of it that I did not thoroughly enjoy. I was unsatisfied with the ending; it felt a bit rushed and easy. The team appeared to have information handed to them way too easily. I would have appreciated more conflict. I also did not like that the book ended on a cliffhanger; however, I look forward to reading the next book. The book did not appear to have been professionally edited, as I found several errors while reading.
Due to the presence of errors in the book, I rate it four out of five stars. The book would have received a perfect rating regardless of the negative aspects noted if it did not contain so many errors. I truly enjoyed reading the book. Its mixture of real-life happenings with fantasy was beautiful. Dorothy McCoy did a fantastic job. Lovers of mystery, horror, suspense, and thrillers will enjoy this read.
