I can say I'm intrigued! A haunted house with literal skeletons in closets? So awesome 8)

Wonderful review that leaves me longing to read this novel. You had me at "It was creepy, mysterious, fast-paced and full of shocking revelations. It carries themes of love, loss, abandonment, relationship, friendships, fallible human nature, good vs. evil, with a
punch! The author did a great job weaving the two story lines together."
As autumn is just around the corner, this book will be perfect to read by the fireplace with a hot cup of tea on chilly evenings. :techie-studyingbrown:

It's a great horror story. It's captivating. In the end, it all played out well. Congratulations!

I'm always interested to read these reviews. I'm not normally a paranormal/horror reader, but this one sounds intriguing enough that I might very well pick it up. Especially since it's free on KU!

Your review is great. I just don't think this would be my kind of book. An evil entity having it's way with a woman nightly, wow that is scary! Lol, I think that happens a lot more than we think. Sounds like a pretty crazy book to me. Thanks for the review!

Great review, Gali! I think this story would be too spooky for my taste. I noticed in the first chapters, that I sampled, your comment about "telling not showing", when the author listed the measurements of the two McQueen brothers.

Thanks for the good review. It is definitely a book for mature readers. The strong language would make you think of your personal beliefs but, on the whole, as the review points out maturity makes you open-minded. I am not for ghost stories but that is just me. Besides, there are other angles of the story that could get your attention.

Fast paced and keeping me at the edge of my seat are both good recommendations. This is a very nice review and the little I read of the book have convinced me to put it in the Want to Read collum.

I like Unspeakable Acts in that it is a foiled mystery with a twist and a great setting. i like that it looks very timely and a plot that reveals itself suddenly. I can barely wait to read this based on the lovely review.

I haven't read a good ghost story in a long time, but this sounds like a great one! Definitely picking it up for BOTM in October, looking forward to reading it with halloween decorations everywhere :)
