The exciting book Khanjar by Bob O'Brien follows the journey of Nasir Shehadah, a Palestinian engineer who moves to Columbia University in the United States for a seemingly ordinary reason. The story includes elements of academic background, greed, crime, romance, and politics. Nasir's character is unpredictable, leaving readers unsure whether to view him as a hero or a villain.

The plot revolves around Paul Shehadeh, a Palestinian engineer who travels to the United States to study and teach at Columbia University. He meets Lucy Donaldson, the daughter of Senator Debra Donaldson, and as they become closer, Debra, a supporter of the Palestinian cause, becomes suspicious of his intentions. Shortly after Paul arrives in America, a significant bombing occurs in a New York City landmark, prompting FBI agent Bec Bekel and her partner to investigate, leading them to discover a dangerous and complex network of international intrigue.

I love this book because of its captivating exploration of Nasir's character development. The story delves into the depths of his passion and determination, making it an inspiring journey of self-discovery and growth. Nasir's willingness to make sacrifices for his goal and the uncertainties he faces along the way make him a truly relatable and fascinating protagonist. Moreover, the addition of Lucy Donaldson as a supporting character adds a layer of depth and heart to the narrative, showcasing the power of dedication and compassion. This book's ability to evoke such strong emotions and its compelling portrayal of human struggles and triumphs make it an unforgettable and cherished read for me.

The reason I do not dislike this book is that it proved to be an enthralling read that engrossed me from start to finish. Despite the occasional lengthy chapters, the book adeptly tackled crucial and relevant issues like the treatment of minority countries, the politics of powerful nations, and the neglect faced by people of colour. Its ability to explore these significant aspects of our world in a captivating manner made it an enlightening and thought-provoking experience, leaving me with no reason to dislike it.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars due to its captivating nature and the valuable lessons it imparts about the world of politics. I highly recommend it to fans of science fiction and action books. Additionally, I must commend the book for being error-free and exceptionally well-edited, adding to the overall enjoyment of the reading experience.
