Clifford's War is an interesting novel that is centered on Clifford and the people he pulls together to help him get out of tight situations. Clifford, whose nickname is Dee, is an Afghanistan war veteran who, after serving his country, is called by his boss to work for him as a private investigator. Dee is hired by a senator's wife, who is suspicious of her husband, whom she thinks is cheating on her, to spy on him. While spying on the senator, some unpleasant yet interesting events begin to unfold. Grab a copy of this book to find out about these events.

I like how the book shows how the leaders will commit a crime and use their influence and power to cover up the situation, even taking out anyone standing in their way just to leave no traces behind. The novel also shows how people put their hands in illegal things to buy their way up to higher positions. Just like in the case of Clifford's boss, Kelvin, who bribes and does illegal stuff and even goes to extra lengths to kill people just to cover up his tracks.

The storyline is very good. I must commend how the author, J. Denison Reed, uses his words in the book to describe how politics has a high level of involvement in different aspects of our day-to-day lives.

I rate the novel Clifford's War 5 out of 5 stars because the book proves that even in a system of bad people, there are good people who will always stand committed to doing the right thing, just like in the case of Dee and his group.

One thing I dislike about the book is how the author unnecessarily makes use of profane words on some pages. Also, the novel has no typographical errors in it; it was well edited.
