In Bob O'Brien's book, Khanjar, a captivating crime thriller unfolds in New York, blending love, betrayal, patriotism, and greed among a few characters. The story revolves around Paul Shehadeh, an idealistic Palestinian engineer studying at Columbia University with a dream to build a desalination plant for Gaza and the West Bank.

China's involvement in financing the project, while also establishing a military base in the area, adds complexity. When a bombing occurs at a reservoir, FBI agent Bec Bekele and her partner begin an investigation that takes them into a perilous world of international intrigue. The narrative skillfully weaves Middle Eastern politics and China's influence into the bustling backdrop of New York.

I love this book because it portrays Paul Shehadeh as an inspiring character, who uses intelligence and cleverness to champion a noble cause. His choice to pursue education instead of violence resonates deeply with me. The way the author skillfully introduces and develops each character, despite their considerable number, creates a captivating and compelling narrative. This book's ability to depict human relationships, the struggle for liberation, and the power of education makes it a truly unforgettable and cherished read for me.

The book's ability to offer an exciting and engaging reading experience without any flaws or negative aspects is the primary reason I don't dislike it. Furthermore, its effective exploration of important issues like the treatment of minority countries, the politics of powerful nations, and the struggles of people of colour, leaves a powerful impact on readers. The way these themes are presented makes the book both enlightening and

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars due to its captivating and enthralling nature. I was never bored while reading it, as it was filled with action and completely worth my time. I wholeheartedly recommend this thrilling science fiction and action novel to readers who seek an engaging and immersive experience. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free.
