Clifford's War by J Denison Reed is an action-packed drama that delves into crime-solving and investigation, focusing on the corruption within law enforcement agencies and politics. The story revolves around Clifford Daniel, a former military personnel who was forced to leave the service due to medical reasons.

Now working as a private investigator, Clifford finds himself constantly exposed to danger, earning the title. With a reliable team by his side, Clifford's private investigation firm takes on cases rejected by government agencies due to sensitivity or lack of evidence, as well as assignments from influential private individuals.

What I appreciate about this book is the protagonist Clifford Daniel's appreciation for nature, evident in his strategically located apartment with a beautiful view. Additionally, the strong camaraderie among Dee's team members is truly remarkable, with their unwavering support and loyalty. The book delivers explicit and exhilarating action scenes, particularly the heart-pounding moment when Daniel, behind the wheel of Dee's Mustang, evades pursuers with a daring manoeuvre—Dee's instructions to accelerate hit the hill, brake hard, and sharply turn right. This scene evoked a thrilling "Fast and Furious" sensation, igniting my imagination.

I love this book, and there is nothing that I dislike about it. Upon seeing the title, I initially expected a historical account of a particular war. However, as I started reading, I discovered an incredibly engaging story that revolves around crime-solving, law enforcement agencies, and political corruption. I would recommend this book to fans of crime-solving novels, as well as those with an interest in technology and an appreciation for the spirit of teamwork.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars due to the writer's remarkable sense of humour, which shines through in the character "Marlon" and enhances the reading experience. Moreover, the book masterfully captures the enchanting essence of nature. The exceptional editing and absence of errors are additional reasons why it deserves a well-earned 5-star rating.
