Great review :) I already have chills by just reading the blurb, after reading a few pages I can tell it's well-written, but the content is a bit too disturbing for me. Although I can see how it would appeal to fans of the genre.

Thanks for your review, I had already decided to read the book before I read your review. Since the murders took place well before fingerprinting and other scientific methods, I can see how it was difficult to solve these murders. It seems that to name these killings the Jack Strangler murders, base on the similarities to Jack the Ripper, the murders must have been pretty gruesome! Thanks again for your review!

This really does sound like a compelling read, and finding out that one of the victims was the author's relative, that is really interesting. Thank you for your informative review!

Now I have read a lot of true crime and the caliber of the writing can really vary. I'm glad to read that this particular book is well written, which I think is not unrelated to the fact that the author has a personal connection to the case. This will be my next read - can't wait to find out what the "shocking" ending is!

I'll have to ask my FIL's wife if she knows this one. True crime books are her preferred genre. She once gave me a huge paper sack full of them!

Jack the Strangler will indeed leave a mark behind for many months to come. Sends cold shivers down the spine slowly as each episode is narrated. Congrats on being the BOTD.

The book indeed sounds unique due to its inspiration. It is good that the author managed to turn "the wealth of information into a fascinating book". Thank you again for the well-written review.

I love crime novels that are based in real life events, It is great that the author took his time to do such a nice research.

Research and storytelling are vital to a quality true crime story. I love that this one is a little personal for the author and that his research is meticulous. I look forward to the sample!
