The Attuned by Gary B. Haley is an action, supernatural, and romance novel that narrates the story of two characters, Chip Granberry and the main character.

Chip Granberry is a talented gambler, who has a unique intuition, which makes him have an advantage over the other gamblers. Because of his unique intuition, he rarely visited the same casino more than once, which makes him less noticeable to the other gamblers about how much he was winning. On the other hand, the main character is a person who is capable of killing people by just a mere focus. The main character was involved in some murder. For instance, the main character killed a mass of students in their school, even though it was because of the other person, who wanted to use his power for an evil plan. Because of this, he had to hide from the FBI, who have labeled him a serial killer. All along the journey, the main character went through the Middle East and Eastern Europe to outsmart his pursuers, while he was trying to go to America.

There are several things I like about this book. First, I like the author's writing style. The storyline was really good and the characters were developed as well. Especially, the journey and the surviving parts will keep you reading this novel. Second, this book is easy to read and understand, and it is hard for me to stop reading even though this novel has many chapters. Third, I love the way the author made the main character's personality. The main character's calm attitude, which seems contrasting to the story's atmosphere full of action and fighting scenes, made the story much more enjoyable. Also, I found it unique that the main character remains unnamed throughout the entire book.

I was not impressed by the author because the storyline was not quite solidified. For instance, the author didn't explain how some characters gained their power, and how these powers work. Apart from that, I couldn't find what I disliked about this book.

Overall, I enjoyed the story. I didn't find any grammatical errors that can hinder reading the story, which means this book has been perfectly edited. On that note, I will rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. This novel would make a good read for those who enjoy action and supernatural genres. However, I wouldn't recommend this book to the children because there were some violent scenes.
