This book sounds absolutely interesting, and with the way you've written your review, it's hard to ignore. I'm always down for a good mystery thriller. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

A thriller revolving around a faded French movie star who fell into the clutches of a pimp wants revenge sounds intriguing. I agree the plot sounds original. Well-executed, realistic characters, and dry humor adds to the intrigue. That it well-edited is certainly a plus. Thank you for the review!

Your review was very informative and comprehensive. I am not a "Blushing Nun", but this doesn't sound like a book I would enjoy. I did enjoy your review though.

Just by reading this review alone, I can tell that this book makes for a splendid read. Sophies character seems very intriguing, not to mention I love mystery novels. I can tell this a definite must-read.

This is quite a unique premise. It sounds like Sophia's judgement is clouded due to her infatuation with this younger man. It is awful that someone would take advantage of someone like that, but sadly it happens a lot. Hopefully JJ will pull through for her before it's too late! Thanks for the wonderful review!

I’m glad that Sophie eventually realizes that she’s doesn’t need Tony and that he’s bad for her. It would be heartbreaking if she never realized. Thanks for the review!

The fact that the crime thriller is fast-paced and that the characters are superbly developed is enough for me to be drawn to picking up the book. The review is also great and captivating especially how dedicated J.J is to showing his mother the truth about Tony.

This is an incredible crime thriller novel full of action, suspense, betrayal, abuse, and a captivating plot altogether. The book is free on Kindle Unlimited and has a great OnlineBookClub review. I rated the book 3 out of 4 stars. Congrats on the BOTD selction.

Your delivery of this BOTD review was fascinating. The details that you explained and the character elaboration has me hooked on wanting to read this book. I definitely prefer reading books in a series by starting with the first book but this one seems like it may stand alone as well. Great job!

I love a good thriller, especially one with well-developed characters.
Your analysis of the book was excellent and thorough, and I agree with you that every element in a novel should ideally serve a purpose, such as the profanities you mention.
Great review, thank you!

This detective story, A Trail of Blood, has it all: an old movie queen, her young lover who is only interested in her money, and the mob. It sounds like a very interesting story. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

I’m not a big fan of books that chase down the mob, and dealings with a string of sex clubs doesn’t really appeal either. I read the opening pages and it felt like I had missed something. Your review mentioned this being book 4, so that helped make sense of why I felt like I had missed something with the main characters. This one just isn’t for me, but I appreciate the insight from your review.
