[Following is a volunteer review of "Perfect Fairways... Hidden Lies" by Robert Marier.]
[rbc=4]id378132-125[/rbc]Perfect Fairways... Hidden Lies is a mystery fiction book written by Robert E. Marier. Marier grew up in Maine and attended schools in Kennebunk, and Groton, Massachusetts. He lives in Kennebunk, Maine and in Palm city Florida. He has been an avid golfer all his life that's why he has exhibited so much of golf throughout this novel.

The story starts with a chain of murders involving young women which had characteristics of serial killings. Detective Ben Angle of the Indio, California, Police Department discovers the body of the first victim Amanda, a 27 years old in a room at the Holiday Inn Express. Later detectives Frank Larson and George Lappin of Scottsdale police force discovers the killing of yet another young lady, Mary, in a room in the Roadhouse Inn. A few days later detective Sherry White and her partner Charlie Broms of Brentwood, Los Angeles found a body of a gorgeous girl at hotel Ramada. As if that is not enough, the body of another young lady is uncovered by James O'Leary, a detective in West Palm beach, Florida. The victims died due to suffocation as a result of obstruction of the airway because of two golf balls stuffed into their throats. All the balls were identical Medallist Tour ZX with an identification number 77. Thus the need to involve the FBI. Two FBI agents Joe Hancock and Paul Clark are assigned to deal with this case.

At this point the Author has managed to create suspense in the readers mind, as one is eager to find out if the agents will be able to unravel the mystery behind this killings, with the little information known to them. There is a lot of active reader involvement in piecing together information. It is also very intriguing how the agents in collaboration with the detectives are able to figure out the culprit from a large multitude of possible suspects.

The real murderer Bud Willis, is a very clever guy. Even after being discovered, he was always a step ahead of the cops. Bud's uncommon cat-like instincts had kept him alert to the dangers around him and hence, he kept escaping the clutches of law enforcement all his life.

I enjoyed reading this novel and thus I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. As far as am concerned this book was professionally edited. There are very few typos and no spelling or grammar mistakes. I recommend this book to every person who likes reading an entertaining book.
